Domestic Violence Deaths Trending Lower

Posted June 13th, 2014 @ 3:24pm by RichardLee@ClearChannel.Com

(Des Moines) Latest numbers show more than 250 Iowans died in incidents of domestic violence over the last two decades.

The deaths range from a high of 22 in 2006 to just a half-dozen last year.

But, Binnie LeHew of the Iowa Department of Public Health says such domestic abuse murders or suicides never come totally "out of the blue" so to speak.

She's urging you to call the Iowa Domestic Abuse Hotline number if you even suspect something's wrong: 800-942-0333.

LeHew says the hotline's available 24-7.
