Parts of Interstate 29 Closed Due to High Water

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, Interstate 29 in southeast South Dakota will be closed at noon (Thursday, June 19, 2014). The Big Sioux River is predicted to crest in the morning or early afternoon hours of Friday, June 20 and is expected to send a significant amount of water into low lying areas of southeast South Dakota. 

Detours have been put in place for motorists traveling through the area.
