State Senate Tuesday unanimously advancing better protections for Iowans who get "paid in plastic".
Iowa City Democrat Joe Bolkcom floor-managed the bill through the Senate. He says the bill would help cut-down on the number of surcharges for use of wages delivered on debit cards.
Action was deferred on a bill for a time Tuesday morning to wait for an amendment, but, debate later resumed and the promised amendment never surfaced.
SF 2350 passed 50-zip and now heads to the House.
