State Senate voting Tuesday to expand the homestead tax credit for disabled Iowa veterans.
Ames Democrat Herman Quirmbach says more disabled veterans will become eligible for the tax credit. He also says the widows, surviving spouses and children of such disabled veterans who've died will become eligible for that homestead tax credit. It also removes income limitations.
Senator Quirmbach says it's one way a grateful state can repay such sacrifice.
SF 2352 passed unanimously, 50-to nothing, through the Senate and now heads to the House.
