WARTBURG CHOIR TO PERFORM AT FAITH LUTHERAN ON MARCH 25

 

The internationally-acclaimed Wartburg Choir, the select a cappella choir of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, will perform at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 25, at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue in Clive, Iowa.

The choir performs sacred from all historical periods and styles, along with contemporary composers such as Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjelilo and Ben Allway. A free-will offering will be taken.

 

The choir, under the direction of Dr. Lee Nelson, is currently visiting churches in the upper Midwest. In April and May, the church will perform at churches in Germany, Scotland and Ireland. The choir has visited 38 states and the District of Columbia, as has performed in Europe, South Africa and Canada. The choir joined the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for a concert in Prague in 2006, and performed at the White House and the National Cathedral in 2011.
