Hurricane could push up Iowa gas prices

You may have to pay more for a gallon of gas, thanks to Hurricane Harvey.

Gail Weinholzer of Triple-A Iowa/Minnesota says oil rig closures in the Gulf of Mexico will tighten fuel supplies for a week to 10 days.

She says that could result in gas prices rising up to 10-cents per gallon in Iowa.

She says the oil rig closures may cause a slight bump in pump prices, but she does not expect it to be a significant hike.

Triple A maintains a gas price checker, for details click HERE.
