Three Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze At Their Own Station

Three volunteer firefighters from Blissfield, Michigan had to be hospitalized after battling a fire at their own station. Two of the firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation, while a third suffered burns on his arm.

Officials said that the damage to the fire station was extensive and it damaged two ambulances and all of the station's fire trucks

"I'm relying on neighboring departments to help us out," Chief Dale Fruchui told ABC 13. "We're going to be working on getting some of them back in service, trying to regroup and go from there."

Fruchui said that he believes that they can get one ambulance and one fire truck fixed by Monday, though the station will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire, which was reported by a person who was walking by.
