The Iowa State Patrol is releasing details about a Madison County speeder, who was stopped twice in a short period of time.

A trooper clocked a driver (this month)  going 102 in a 55 miles per hour zone.   The driver was given a 377-dollar ticket.

The Patrol says the driver took off again, and was stopped a short time later, by the same trooper.

This time the driver was clocked going 85 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

The driver racked up  640-dollars in fines.

Another Iowa State Trooper stopped a man in Lyon County recently, who was driving 114 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

The State Patrol reports the man explained he was in a hurry because he was late for the "Doon Days" parade.

Less than 15 minutes later, the same man was stopped by a Lyon County Deputy for traveling 71 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.
