One man killed, one injured in Jasper County, Iowa crash

(Mingo, Iowa)  One man was killed, and a man was second injured in a crash near Mingo in Jasper County before  3 A.M. this (Saturday) morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says 25-year-old Michael Roney of Altoona lost control of his vehicle on a curve on Highway 117, at 108th Street North.   The vehicle left the highway and overturned several times, ending up resting on the driver's side in a cornfield.   

Passenger 27-year-old Jeremy O'Connor of Colfax was ejected and died at the scene.   

Roney was injured and taken to Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
