Van and Bonnie in the Morning

It's National No Socks Day! (Bonnie's blog 5/8/14)

Maestro Joseph Guinta of the Des Moines Symphony was our special guest just after the 8AM news.  This weekend, the Symphony will highlight 21 year-old Benjamin Grosvenor.  Performances are Saturday at 7:30PM and Sunday at 2:30PM.  Tickets and more information available at www.dmsymphony.com

Just after 8:30 this morning, Trisha Barton of Valley West Mall, Catherine Reaman-Gerdes of Children & Families of Iowa, Judy Bloom of The Free Store and Deb Hurley of Select Van & Storage (Mayflower Movers) joined us in the studio.  Friday, May 16th, 10AM-6PM, and Saturday, May 17th, 8AM-5PM, the Mayflower Moving Truck will be parked in the southwest corner of Valley West Mall's parking lot.  Drop off your donations of gently household furniture, pots and pans, small appliances, vacuum cleaners, coffee tables, twin size bed linens and cleaning supplies to go to The Free Store that serves domestic violence victims across our state and gets them back on their feet.  You can find more information on The Free Store at www.thefreestore.org.  You can also find information on this event at www.valleywestmall.com.

Today's scrambled candy letters are "ynacd celnescak".  Unscramble these letters to make a two word candy and enter your answer at www.whoradio.com.   Good luck!  Remember, tomorrow's final candy will go up on www.facebook/whoradio at 5AM.  Be the first to see it and figure out what it is and then enter it on the website to win!  All five of your entries must be correct.

Enjoy the day!
