That would be quite striking wouldn't it???  The Maestro joined us in the studio just after 8:30 this morning and his parting gift was a role of lime green duct tape...I suggested he make a duct tape jacket out of it...but I think that's quite a streetch!  Nothing is more romantic than the@iconic American music of George Gershwin! Experience the jazz-infused@Rhapsody In Blue@performed by Jeffrey Biegeland watch as tap dancer Ryan VanDenBoom@brings a bygone era to life right before your eyes. That, and@two-time Grammy Award-winning soprano Sylvia McNair@sings classics like@Summertime, ‘S Wonderful, I Got Rhythm@and so much more. Above the orchestra on a@giant screen, a film tells the story of the famous Gershwin family which has inspired listeners across two centuries.  It's this weekend...Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30.

Hy-Vee Store Director Wes Snook and Chef Andrew of the Ankeny North Hy-Vee joined us in the studio this morning at 7:30.  They're having a huge seafood sale at all Hy-Vee's right now...and to celebrate, they brought in a shrimp and andouille sausage pasta dish that was fabulous as well as a breakfast casserole, fruit dish and pastries!  Chef Andrew also made some special bacon, smokey almond, dark chocolate, sea salt, toffee-type stuff that's fabulous!  The only place you can get it is from Chef Andrew at the Ankeny North Hy-Vee.   The recipe for the seafood pasta is at all Hy-Vee's.

Tomorrow on Van & Bonnie, we'll have more Porgy & Bess tickets, more Des Moines Symphony tickets and more roses from Hy-Vee to give away.  Also, a very special guest at 7:30AM...Mary Ferentz (Kirk Ferentz's wife) will join us in the studio.

Hang in there...normal temperatures are almost here!
