Sarai Rice, Executive Director of the DMARC Food Pantry joined us on the air just after the 7:30AM news. The Food Pantry is running low on peanut butter. Peanut butter is a great protein souce for families. 95 cases (12 jars in each) of peanut butter are distributed each week. We are partnering with Hy-Vee and the Food Pantry to declare March 4-8 as peanut butter week! Hope 4 Africa is a non-profit started five years ago at Valley High School. They support quality education for kids in Africa through various fundraising campaigns. The have provided computers, books, water and more too their partner schools in Kenya. They are having an event Sunday, March 3rd at the Embassy Suites Downtown Des Moines.
