Three Iowa men sentenced in child exploitation cases

(DES MOINES, Iowa)    Three Iowa men have been sentenced to prison, for crimes against children.

A Marshalltown man has been sentenced to 25-years in prison, for sexual exploitation of a minor.    Police started investigating 23-year-old Gabriel Espinoza a year ago, in Pennsylvania, when they learned Espinoza sexually exploited a 10-year old girl via social media.   Espinoza is a registered sex offender.  He was arrested by Iowa authorities.  He's also accused of committing the same crime against a Minnesota child.

In December, 27-year old Gaspar Francisco of Osceola was sentenced to 14 years in prison for enticement and attempted enticement of a 13-year old girl, using social media.

In November, 25-year-old Jordan Turner of Muscatine was sentenced to 20-years in prison for receiving child pornography.   Authorities say someone told the FBI that an Iowa man was accused of sexually exploiting a 13-year old boy.    Authorities found out Turner had received nude images and/or videos from seven other minors in Iowa.

The arrests were made as part of the US Justice Department's Project Safe Childhood Initiative.
