Here's the Chinese tariff retailiation list

128 items, and of course the last few involving Iowa pork exports are the most concerning here locally.  Last year the Iowa pork industry exported $1.1 billion dollars worth of products to China, making it out third largest export market. We saw the market tumble today and Analyst Jamey Kohake says his best advice for producers is to make sure they are hedged up as the profit could be taken out if the market quickly.

The ironic part, to a certain extent is that Smithfield Foods is Chinese-owned so in a way they are placing a tariff on their own company’s products because Smithfield raises hogs in Iowa.
