(JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa) A Springville, Iowa man died after being struck by a semi this morning on Highway 218 in Johnson County.
The Iowa State Patrol says a semi, driven by 65-year-old Mark Meyer of Keosauqau was traveling northbound on Highway 218, near Tiffin, at approximately 5:20 this morning, when a pedestrian crossed the highway and was struck.
Twenty-three-year-old John Riffle IV was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics where he was pronounced dead.
