I stayed up late last night to hear Maddie Poppe, our Clarksville, Iowa, contestant on American Idol sing to rave reviews by the judges! Her song was Homeward Bound by Simon & Garfunkel. She was the first contestant of the night to get a standing ovation by all three judges! Way to go Maddie! The write-up from the show stated her song was "the most unusual - and most lovely of the night"!
