UPDATE: The Iowa State Patrol is releasing more details about a crash involving a Trooper in Fremont County early Wednesday morning. The State Patrol says 32-year-old Trooper Dillon Malone had joined other law enforcement in a chase of a suspect, was traveling south on Highway 275, when he lost control of his cruiser on a curve in Hamburg. The cruiser went into a residential yard and struck a tree, then went airborne off an embankment, and hit a parked semi in a driveway. Trooper was flown to an Omaha Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries

An Iowa State Troopers was seriously hurt, after a chase that started in Nebraska, and ended in southwest Iowa.
Bellevue, Nebraska Police say they were investigating a shooting around 4 a.m. when a man in a vehicle drove by and shot at officers. None of the officers were hit.
Authorities in Fremont County Iowa say the suspect also fired shots at deputies. The Iowa State Patrol joined the chase into Hamburg, Iowa.
Authorities say during the chase a Trooper Dillon Malone crashed his cruiser and was seriously injured. He was airlifted to an Omaha hospital, with what are described as serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The man driving the getaway car, 28-year-old William Stanfill, crashed into the Nishnabotna River. Stanfill and a passenger, 37-year-old Jacqueline Streich were taken into custody and taken to the Fremont County Jail.
