UPDATE Sunday April 29 8:05 a.m. : Police say the victim is a 20-year-old man whose name is being withheld by request of his family until other family members can be notified.
A Des Moines Facebook group includes a post from a woman who says her parents live near the site of the shooting and stayed with the young man as he died, before medics could arrive.
The victim's name is expected to be released later Sunday.
