ANKENY, Iowa - The feel good story of the weekend belongs to the Iowa State Patrol Trooper who blocked traffic while a mama duck and her babies crossed busy SE Delaware in Ankeny Friday.
An Ankeny Police Officer snapped a photo of Trooper #254 positioning his cruiser, with emergency lights flashing, and stopping traffic while the family waddled across the street. The photo is posted on the Ankeny Police Department Facebook page.
Residents commented on the photos, thanking the trooper and cheering his kindness.
