Tractor operator killed in train collision in northern Iowa

WORTH COUNTY, Iowa-  The driver of a John Deere tractor, pulling a chemical sprayer was hit by a train in rural Worth County Tuesday morning, northeast of Mason City.   

The Iowa State Patrol says the tractor operator failed to yield at a crossing and a train struck the sprayer and dragged the tractor and sprayer several yards.     

The tractor operator was ejected and died of his injuries.    His name has not been released.
