JASPER COUNTY, Iowa- Someone dumped a large amount of roofing material near Colfax. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office has posted on its Facebook page information about the illegal dumping case.
Investigators think the shingles came from a remodeling project.
A Jasper County resident reported the large pile of roofing material dumped in the 13000 block of S. 12th Avenue W. northwest of Colfax.
Authorities say there were at least two different loads of shingles and other material, along with roofing nails.
