FORT DODGE, Iowa- An Iowa State Patrol Trooper pulled over a speeder last week in north central Iowa, clocked going 101 miles per hour. This image was posted on social media earlier today (Thursday).
The State Patrol says the driver's excuse for speeding was "sorry, I was falling asleep."
The State Patrol reminds drivers, if you're feeling sleepy, find a legal parking spot and get some rest. Traffic safety stats show nearly 10-percent of accidents are attributed to drowsy driving.
