DES MOINES, Iowa – An early morning fire destroyed a mobile home Friday on Des Moines’ south side.
Firefighters say the home at 2525 County Line Road Lot 161 was engulfed in flame when they got there.
The fire spread to the home next door, but damage was not extensive. The home at Lot 161 is a total loss.
The Des Moines Fire Department says two people, a man and a teen boy, and their small dog escaped without injury.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
