Des Moines police say they're investigating a shooting that became the city's latest homicide early Sunday morning.
Around 2:15am, Des Moines Police went to the 3800 block of Woodland on the report of gunshots. Officers found the crime scene nearby in the 600 block of 38th Street.
A 40 year old man was taken by private vehicle to Iowa Methodist Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He died at the hospital.
Police believe it was the result of a domestic incident.
