(ANKENY, Iowa) Ankeny police are releasing more details about a death investigation. Officers found two decomposed bodies found Monday morning in a Mobile home park at 305 Harvest Park Drive, after a welfare check.
The identities of the bodies are 44-year-old Karen Edsina and 45-year-old Lonnie Perry.
The Polk County Medical Examiner has determined Edsinga died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, her death has been ruled a suicide.
The autopsy found Perry also died of a gunshot wound, but investigators were unable to tell if it was self-inflicted, so his cause of death is listed as "undetermined."
Evidence at the scene suggests both parties’ actions were consensual.
