A rural Waverly teen died from a tragic accident over the weekend.
Saturday night, the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fireworks related injury.
They found 18 year old Coltin Carolus had suffered live-threatening injuries while igniting fireworks with friends.
He was taken to the Waverly Hospital and later transported to Covenant Hospital.
He was placed on life support, but his injuries proved fatal.
Sunday evening his organs were donated.
