JEFFERSON, Iowa- A Greene County man convicted of sexually abusing his daughter, has been sentenced to 75-years in prison. Our News partner, Channel 13 WHO-TV reports the judge has also denied a request for a new trial for James Exline.
Paige Exline was 12-years-old when she and 16-year-old cousin Shakiah Cockerham were killed in a Guthrie County house fire last year.
Investigators say the fire was set by Patrick Thompson, James Exline's stepson. He is charged with arson and murder in the case, and goes to trial September 17th.
Paige's brother Noah is also charged with sexually abusing her. His trial is scheduled for October 30th.
