DAVENPORT, Iowa- A former University of Iowa student has been sentenced in Federal Court in Davenport to four months in prison, after pleading guilty to unauthorized use and damaging the University's computer network.
A judge has also ordered 23-year-old Trevor Graves to serve two years of supervised release, and pay nearly 68-thousand dollars in restitution.
Graves pleaded guilty in April this year, admitting placing a key logger on University of Iowa computers in 2015 and 2016, and obtained professors' user names and passwords, and changed grades for himself and five other students in the university's ICON computer network.
The university says it cost 68-thousand dollars to fix the damage to the system.
Graves was a native of Colorado, and at one point was a member of the wrestling team.
