DES MOINES, Iowa- Blank Park Zoo officials are announcing a Nyala calf was born at Blank Park Zoo September 2nd.
The calf has been named ‘Hazel.’
Keepers say she's outside in her habitat every day, but mom can be very protective and try to hide her.
The Zoo also says six flamingo chicks have hatched in the past month.
