DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources fall color guide says this weekend is likely the last to see the best fall colors of the season in Iowa.
There are still some stunning glimpses of color in spots. The photo above was taken along the I-35 corridor between Des Moines and Ames Saturday morning.
Although Central Iowa and East Central Iowa are past the prime, Southeastern Iowa should be at peak color this weekend.
