DES MOINES - Windsor Heights police chased a stolen car into Des Moines and the car smashed into a pole at Merle Hay and University. The driver ran away, leaving an infant and an injured woman behind in the car.
It happened at around 11:00am with Des Moines police officers assisting Windsor Heights police in locating the driver.
Police arrested 25 year old Brandon St. Peter of Des Moines on several felony and traffic charges. The woman in the car was treated and released at a local hospital. The infant wasn't injured.
