Feds to monitor elections in northwest Iowa county

BUENA VISTA COUNTY, Iowa-   Tuesday's election in northwest Iowa's Buena Vista County will be monitored by the federal government.   The U-S Department of Justice will have staff  in 35-jurisdictions in 19-states.  Staff will be monitoring compliance of federal voting rights law, which is done regularly in elections around the country.   

Staffers will be available to receive complaints from the public.  Complaints can also be reported by fax and email via the department's website.  Allegations of election fraud are handled by the US Attorneys offices across the country.
