POLK COUNTY, Iowa - A weekend crash near Altoona has killed a second person, this time the driver of a car rear-ended on I-80.
Twenty-two-year-old Austin Gainuss passed away Tuesday.
The passenger, 24-year-old Joshua Cox was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Iowa Patrol says 37-year-old Travis Gonzales of Bondurant hit the car the two were in while speeding.
No charges have been filed as investigators wait on toxicology results.
Court records show Gonzales has 14 traffic citations over the last 20 years.
