DES MOINES, Iowa - Police say residents of a homeless camp in the 1600 block of East Madison in Des Moines tell officers they found the man already dead Thursday morning, around 9:30, and tell officers they believe the man was the victim of a hit and run that was not reported Tuesday.
Des Moines Police say tire tracks left by the hit-and-run vehicle are still visible at the scene, and police say they consider circumstances of the man's death as suspicious, as they continue to investigate.
The man's name is not being released at this time.
