DES MOINES, Iowa - Another round is snow is expected from Friday into Saturday, with the Des Moines/Ames metro region and the Council Bluffs/Omaha region most likely to get several inches of snow. 4 inches is predicted in those major metro areas.
Cedar Rapids may see up to 3 inches, but less is expected near Iowa City, maybe 1 inch.
Southern Iowa will get the heaviest snow, again. 5-6 inches is likely from Friday night into Saturday morning in Leon and Osceola, along I-35 in Southern Iowa.
Not to be left out, the rest of the state of Iowa and parts of neighboring states are likely to get some snow, too, including 1 inch in the Quad Cities.
