DES MOINES, Iowa - Iowa Democrats can use their smartphones to Caucus in 2020.
Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price says there will be six virtual caucuses that Iowans can take part in using their smart phone or device, along with traditional Caucuses at precincts across the state.
Other changes being announced by the Iowa Democratic Party include allocating delegates to the Democratic National Convention determined by the caucus results, not the Democratic Party's convention process, and caucus results will be posted online, making the results and process more transparent.
Presidential candidates will now be allowed to ask for a recount in a congressional district or statewide if they can show the result could affect the number of delegates to the national convention.
