DES MOINES - The body of an adult has been found inside a home destroyed by fire in Saylor Township.
The Polk County Sheriff's Department says it is an adult, but are not reporting the person's name or gender.
The fire was reported just after 4:20 a.m., and a Polk County Sheriff's Deputy who got there at 4:30 reported flames coming fromthe house at 5670 NW 1st Street.
WHO Channel 13 reports fire crews from Saylor Township, Ankeny, Johnston, and Delaware Township were all called out to help put out the flames.
Firefighters are still on the scene, investigating.
