KNOXVILLE, Iowa - The murder trial of Jason Carter is set to begin next month.
Carter is accused of shooting his mother, Shirley, in June of 2015.
Bill Carter, Jason's father, won a wrongful death judgement worth $10-million dollars in 2017 and police charged Jason with murder shortly after that verdict.
WHO Channel 13 reports the trial has been moved to Pottawattamie County due to pre-trial publicity. Proceedings begin on March 5 in Council Bluffs.
An attempt to overturn the civil judgement against Jason Carter was rejected in December.
