DES MOINES, Iowa - The Des Moines Fire Department knocked down a fire from the outside looking in early this morning.
Fire crews were called to 1350 E. Washington Avenue around 3:30 a.m. and they discovered the fire was in the basement.
They had the flames put out quickly and no people were found inside the building.
WHO channel 13 reports the cause of the fire is under investigation.
