A big donation from the Iowa Pork Producers Association $3,800 to the HACAP Food Reservoir on March 11, 2019 as part of a $25,000 statewide donation to the 6 food banks who feed the nearly 390,000 food insecure Iowans in collaboration with the Iowa Food Bank Association:
“Families really enjoy getting these pork products at our Mobile Food Pantries because they’re both a tasty and healthy option," days Food Reservoir Director Kim Guardado. They can be prepared in many different ways and add substantial protein to a make full meal.”
Donations from the Iowa Pork Producers will be used to leverage the transportation and handling of pork products from the USDA.
