Man accused of murdering female ISU golfer wants to plead guilty?

In an unsigned letter to court officials, defendant Collin Richards reportedly says he wants to plead guilty to first degree murder in the death of Celia Barquin Arozamena last September.

A Story County judge Thursday told Richards to discuss the letter with his defense attorney in the case and no further action was taken.

Richards is scheduled to go on trial for the ISU star golfer September 10th of this year.

Her body was found after she turned up missing, with several stab wounds.

Barquin Arozamena had played a round of golf at an Ames golf course prior to being killed.

Richards remains in the Story County Jail in Nevada.
