Kelly Foss with the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market joined us in the studio this morning to chat about the opening day of the Market tomorrow from 7AM - Noon! Over 300 vendors will be participating this year from 50 Iowa counties. There are 47 new vendors this year including a vendor with goat milk yogurt and goat milk caramel sauce. There are 20 different bakeries, some of which are vegan...and one that serves apple pie with bacon! Each week you'll find 7 to 8 local entertainers on various corners of the Market.
