UNDATED -- Much of Iowa's bracing for two rounds of severe weather today. Storms this morning in western Iowa brought heavy rains, strong winds and hail. Semi-trucks on Interstate 80 were blown over near Adair, and hail was measured in inches.
The Storm Prediction Center says the area under a moderate risk for severe weather has shifted south to the Iowa-Missouri border. An enhanced risk remains for the southern half of the state, including the Des Moines metro area.
