It's a big day in Cass County as Bob, Ag Secretary Mike Naig and our friends from the Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers are just outside of Atlantic to present Christy and Kelly Cunningham with the Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award:
They've run the Milk Unlimited Dairy Farm since 1998, growing now to some 3400 head split between Holstein's and Cross Breds:
And yes, 3,400 head requires a large facility:
That means the Cunningham's stay busy as the parlor is full basically 24/7/365 but still manage to find time to help out neighbors in need:
It's appropriate to recognize dairy farmers during June Dairy month, and reports are the homemade ice cream was very good...as were the steaks from the Cass County Cattlemen. Congratulations to the Cunningham's and thank you for all you do for others.
