The President says he wants to discuss buying Greenland. Denmark owns it and it has been a drain on that county's finances, but they say it's not for sale. In fact they said it so strongly that the President cancelled a planned meeting with them.
It's geographical position makes it of strategic importance and on top of that, it has deposits of coal, iron ore, lead, zinc, diamonds, gold, platinum, tantalite and uranium.
