Des Moines Police identify early Saturday morning homicide victim

DES MOINES, Iowa - Police have identified a man who died after being found injured in an east Des Moines home early Saturday morning as 43-year-old James Charles Moss, Jr.

Moss was taken to MercyOne Hospital where he later died.

Police have found one of two people they say were inside the house at or near the time Moss was injured.  

38-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Hupp has been interviewed by detectives and released. Officers are still looking for 39-year-old Nicky Joe Beery.

Police say Moss was involved in an argument inside his ex-wife's house in the 200 block of East Walnut early Saturday morning. The ex-wife left the house about 1 a.m. and called 911, telling police dispatch she was very frightened.

Officers want to interview both Beery and Hupp about the homicide.
