MOLINE, Illinois - Deere & Company has announced a plan to purchase a Brazilian company that specializes in parts for sugarcane harvesters
Based in Moline, Illinois, Deere & Company signed an agreement to purchase Unimil, which has 430 employees and will continue to operate under that brand name.
Deere already has equipment production facilities in Brazil and says the proposed purchase will bolster Deere's offerings to the sugarcane industry.
The purchase will need to be approved by government regulators before being finalized.
