ANKENY, Iowa- A student on a bike, was hit by a school bus this (Thursday) in Ankeny.
Police and paramedics were called to SW State Street and NW Prairie Ridge drive after 4 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon.
Ankeny Police Lieutenant Brian Kroska tells WHO Radio News a student, on a bike was crossing SW State Street, when he was hit by a bus. The bicyclist ended up under the bus and taken to the hospital to be checked out. The injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
Police say there was a secondary crash at the same location, when two vehicles collided in backed-up traffic. No word of an injuries in the second crash.
