The Halloween movie festival has kicked off at the Angelo household. Since others in my home don't like scary movies, we keep it pretty light. We watched "Ghostbusters" over the weekend. A new survey finds the average person watched their first scary movie when they were 10 years old.
That sounds about right to me. The first scary movie I remember watching is "The Other," which the Internet Movie Database summarizes as thus: "Down in the farm country of the US twins are born. One of them turns out to be good, while the other becomes rather evil."
Sounds about right.
My favorite scary movie of all-time is the original "Hills Have Eyes" directed by Wes Craven. The fact that I saw it at a midnight showing only amplified the scariness.

- 52% of people say the things that frightened them when they are young have the same effect on the today.
The poll finds that 46% of people think they’d survive if they were dropped into a horror flick. If they didn’t, 39% think they’d suffocate, while 29% would be stabbed, trip or fall on a fatal device, or crash in a car, with 25% suffering death by decapitation.
