ARLINGTON, Iowa - In another sign of the declining Iowa farm economy, Associated Milk Producers Incorporated or A-M-P-I announced it's discontinuing production at its Arlington facility in northeast Iowa.
49 people were employed at the plant.
An A-M-P-I cheese plant in Rochester, Minnesota that employs 75 has also had its production discontinued.
The company says since 2008, Iowa has lost 50-percent of its dairy farms.
